You'll have no trouble finding a good place, but I suggest you find a place near a metro station, for reasons of convenience.

The best hotel I ever stayed in all of Paris is the Hotel Amarante Beau Manoir, and it costs considerably more than 150 euros per night. It is located near the Place de la Madeleine, and is very well located, very close to the Seine.
Some of the most famous hotels in Paris are expensive:
The Bristol-Located on the rue de Rivoli, just across the street from the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre, it is famous for its restaurant.
The Crillon, one of them the most expensive hotels in Paris, located in the heart of Paris on the Place de la Concorde, it is difficult to find a room for less than 500 euros a night, but it is beautiful and is a unique experience.
The Ritz-another one of the most expensive hotels in Paris, is located on the Place Vendome, a commercial expensive (the haute couture and numerous jewelry stores) and is famous for being the home of Coco Chanel for many years.

A good place to look for hotels in Nice (maybe a little cheaper than the Bristol, Crillon and Ritz, who are all extremely expensive) is TripAdvisor:

Another thing to keep in mind when serching a hotel in Paris is that all hotels are expensive, you'll have no trouble with your budget. In addition, be sure to get a hotel in a nice part of town (ie the first boroughs 8e).
Although 2 nights is a very short period, you might consider renting an apartment, which is Avery good option (although, for the minimum stay is 1 week).

Another good hotel that I just thought, many of my friends stayed, is the George V, who is also quite expensive.
