Pangkor Island Beach Resort

Hello people!

I plan a vacation the family (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 7) on the island of Pangkor NEXT Mars. I did my own research and I need your personal comments and recommendations on the following (well, not so good though!)

1) Is Pangkor Island Beach resort aka Pan Pacific Station pleasant to stay? how was the room and facilities? What kind of room should I stay? spending i dont mind but not to extend it to really splurge on all of my money! :-) Would you say most of the food there?

2) Is there a tour of the island of Pangkor or trick I can book? any website link?

3) Do I need to produce an ID to rent a car more in this island?

4) Is there any good clubs or bars in this island? where?

5) What should I do on this island .. in exchange for having two children along ..?

6) again .. should I stay in Pangkor Island Beach Resort Pangkor Laut or .. more .. Whereas children and .. will they take place?

You may be provided with certain information sites, but my own experience in Pangkor Island:

[1] Pangkor Island Resort [PKR] is a very nice place to stay and with its private beach, you will not see or mix with other visitors non-use [for privacy]. Of course, the sea view room is the best! PKR does not serve all kinds of local food and western, but you may want to try the little restaurant [delicacy including local seafood and] whenever you are on sight seeing, it would be several times cheaper the food station!

[2] Get PKR to organize these around the island for you when you are there, no reservation is necessary!

[3] I do not think there is a car available for hire, except pink taxi [van actually], but you may want to try the bike if you know how to ride [make sure you put on your helmet ], which cost not exceeding RM35.00 for 24 hours rental!

[4] PKR does not have its own club and bar, outside ...... very few and small-scale type and may not suit you!

[5] if you do not enjoy the sea [Swimming / Diving], rent a taxi to tour the island then the next day bicycle use to continue to explore the island at your own pace, since you already know more about the island by now!

[6] PKR is on the island of Pangkor Laut Resort Pangkor and is on her own island where more privacy, not mixing around with local or foreign, except guest station. PKR should be the best choice!

I went to Pangkor Island many times since my day at school. Regarding DPP, it was my paradise honeymoon almost 20 years ago!
