I want to buy a VW camper, I would be able to tow a trailer with two small Small road bikes? each weigh 210 pounds and the trailer weighs 200 pounds would have a VW 1800 cc engine. would it be a ridicules thing to do? i love vw but if this is too much weight can not be wrong to buy one.
guess you're talking about a 1973 or so with the 1800 cc engine? Your trailer with just the 2 bikes will weigh less than half the towing capacity of your bus. You still should rethink what the old aircooled VW were / are high maintenance vehicles. If the engine is not kept in perfect agreement, they founded the piston head and work hard like that. I flat tow bugs and buggies with my 1977 2.0 liter bus. 1200-1500 strollers usually weigh bugs are about 1 ton. I'm not going away and I do the highway. Usually just bail out a buddy who is down somewhere.

You do not have to modify the suspension to keep the thing on the road and build the engine at 2300 horse power as you can safely get.Yuo have the figure does not load trailer only, but equipment and people inside the van. They has 40 horsepower stock and are unstable in the best of times.
Blunt's right, I towed a "large" elk hunting motorcycle trailer and did not even know he was there. It carried all the camping gear and allowed us to crash for the night "without having to unload everything.
The bus was a stock 1600 motorhome 1966. has no effect on mileage at all.
He can do. It does not carry the trailer so the fact he weighs 200 lbs is irrelevant. VW vans can carry 2200 pounds (one ton) inside.
Towing is different. It depends a lot on the team. We conducted 2 inside mc and towed behind a snowmobile trailer with quads.
