Ocean Cruises

I'm tired of watching my neighbors go on ocean cruises and enjoy luxury when my life is a constant battle for survival. I lost my faith in this country. I'm tired of the struggle. I am disabled and unable to work. And by the way those considering MOBILISING-my-post be a warning how you will be treated by the government supposedly YOUR after your return from the war.

Then vote for Joe Biden in '08. He spoke just ... all the 24,000 war on terror Vets.
I never take a cruise ... noisy drunks, salmonella, etc.
Also, why we were still in Korea ... told me it was hell and is barely mentioned by our Govt.?? Why? Was that a mistake too?

So you're mad at your nieghbors success, which means that you are jealous. our government is not supposed to send everyone on a luxury holiday. Ding!

Interesting, because I can also tell you how you will be processed after you serve this country.

I did my time, got out, went to school for free, and got my diploma. I work, and I support.

My father did nearly 30 years in the service, made its way to a Pharm D (equivalent to PhD a pharmacist) without paying a penny, and enjoys his retirement from the army. Working part time, his military pension covers all living expenses and more, and this work just gives him something to do and money to spend on other things.

Besides that I got to see the world as a dependent and a member of the service. I visited 5 of the 7 continents, and at last count, 29 countries. Two do not count really well. I went to the USSR in the 80s, and Russia in the late 90's. Same place, but a different name. Two countries no longer exist, Yugoslavia and East Germany.

So I do not know your whole story, but you get what you put into something. You have to make the system work for you. If you're not going to put forth the effort, and just complain, you do not. That is what his country is about.

I do not understand why you complain about your neighbors are going on cruises?? So they can afford it and have a good life .. Bravo for them. I mean they are smart and know how to budget their money. I served my military for only 3 years .. and I loved every minute .. and I was born and raised a military brat ... and loved so much. I loved seeing the world .. and of course I'm still seeing the world b / c my loving husband is serving our country right now .. and I could not be prouder of him. Yes, it leaves me 6-8 months of the year and comes home to me and our children. And I can miss him, but I know it is their struggle for us and help us make a better life. The army paid for my education and still is. I have two degrees now, thanks to the army of my husband working on his second degree and will retire in 12 years ... I would not give up this life for anything. And I do not want my husband to go out and do something else.

It is unfortunate that you feel that way. If you're tired of watching your neighbors are going on cruises and enjoying their lives, why not stop paying attention to them and take care of yourself first. That's my biggest pet peeve pet-people. Always worrying about everybody but themselves. I have enough going on in my life to keep me occupied a lot to have to butt into my life neighbors. They go their way all day, I mine.
I have been in service for six years. Navy. Launch planes off carrier decks. My father was a career and has over 20 years, my mother was a nurse in the military, both my grandfathers, and so on and so forth. The list is endless.
I'm sorry for your pain and unhappiness, but why do it for you to be con.
