North Georgia Mountains

I foresee a long solo of the week camping in the mountains of North Georgia with barely anything more than a sleeping bag and a tarp, and I would like some information on edible vegetation, and possibly even plans for the traps and pitfalls. If anything, please direct me to a website with info.
