Crystal Beach is located on the shores of Lake Erie, south of Ridgeway and Fort Erie. Originally the town was the site of an amusement park. When the park opened its doors in 1888 it arrived by steamship owners of the nearby city of Buffalo, New York.

The park was famous for the most intense roller coaster that day - The Crystal Beach Cyclone, built in 1927. A full-time nurse at the unloading platform tended to the riders nausea and unconsciousness. The ride was closed in 1946 but many materials have been used in the construction of the Crystal Beach Comet, another famous roller coaster with a round a bit less intense.

After the park fence, the comet was moved to Six Flags, The Great Escape and splash Kingdom in Lake George, New York, where she still works today. The amusement park at Crystal Beach closed in 1989 due to high operating costs. The area where the Crystal Beach Tennis and Yacht Club, stands a private residential community is where the amusement park once stood.

In the early 1920's Crystal Beach is the home of a new dance pavilion. The Crystal Ballroom Beach houses a 3,500 square meters of floor maple may contain up to 3,000 dancers at a time.

The Ballroomt was so great that orchestras and groups of the era performed on a center stage of the dead octagonal dance floor.

Above the stage were eight wooden curved reflectors which led to his leaving the ground to have music reach all areas.
