MarketplaceNewquay CornwallPosted on November 24, 2010. Newquay, Cornwall Attractions I do not work and the love of a good road trip heading to Newquay, Cornwall, looking at Newquay's attractions, was a welcome distraction!
Driving into town to find our accommodation, we come across Fistral Beach ..... Oh My .... is one of the best beaches in England and the sea is incredibly blue and, for once, the sun shines. So there it is, it is decided. We stay for a while. We buy some cider and go sit on the sand while one of the guys we're with decides to go swimming. In my opinion, this is not the best idea to 17:00 May and especially in England, but we encourage all anyway!
Fistral Beach is the most popular beach in Newquay and it is easy to see why. If your an avid surfer or a beginner this will soon be your sky! With so many different surf schools sitting among the waves, it is obvious that this is a great place to learn to surf. That if you are brave enough to withstand the temperature of the sea in English! Even if you're not a surfer, he is a fantastic thing to sit and watch.
Besides the beach there are many other sites to see. The main street is literally full of souvenir shops selling a variety of senior life guard and t-shirts and much Kitchy for all your loved ones at home. The city is also a great place to relax and have a beer with its many bars and views of the sea unbelievable. A particularly good place for this is "On the Rocks' Bar. 'On The Rocks is a very nice bar with excellent service, nice food and fantastic views of the sea (plus a very good promotion of drinks). Just across the road is one of the chain's Tavern "Walkabout". It's great for a big night out and they have live music, plus an open mic night on Monday with a full house band for you to play with.
One thing I always love going to the sea has got to be fish and chips! The best chip shop by far, is located on the main artery and is called "Plies. The girls who work here are real people and the food is cheap and very very gays. The fish was fresh, crispy batter and the chips have been something to write home about for sure! A must if you are ever visiting!
Another must place to eat is "Meadery medieval" on the medieval restaurant Marcus Hill. This is a real change from the norm and a lot of fun. It is implemented as a medieval castle and the characteristics of the Medieval music and atmosphere. The food is beautiful and very reasonable and the wine flows. A true once in a life experience and not to be missed.
There are some other views and beautiful walks to the center of the city and around the beach areas. Whether you are here for the view or to make beautiful scenic, it is a nice place to spend holidays with many opportunities for people of all ages.
To summarize in one sentence, I would say Newquay is a pleasure for the whole family, something for everyone, young or old!
There are a lot of fun to be in Newquay, Cornwall. There are many attractions and beaches around Newquay and the Atlantic coast of Cornwall are simply among the best in Western Europe.
