I travel with 4 of my good friends for a last lap after we graduate college in December. We will move 27 to 30 December, but the 27 and 30 will travel for most days they are pretty useless as planning days.
What are some must see or any personal favorite things to do in New York during the holidays? Or places flights to stay? My friend, I recommend the following.
Monuments
Empire State Building -Statue of Liberty / Ellis Island Rockefeller center and the top of the Rock Observation Deck -Times Square (no trip is complete without a visit to the "Crossroads of the World) -Lower Manhattan / Wall Street Area -United Nations -Central Park -Brooklyn Bridge (you can walk across it too) Grand Central Terminal (Terminal Railway largest in the country) -A-Ride on the Staten Island Ferry (it's free and you can see the Statue of Liberty as the ferry crosses the harbor)
Museum
-Museum Mile (Fifth Avenue from East 86 to East 103 Streets) -Museum of Natural History and Rose Center for Earth and Space (formerly the Hayden Platerium) MoMa- -Museum of Contemporary Art "Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum -The Bronx Museum of Art -Brooklyn Museum Milk-Gallery -American Craft Museum -Museum of American Folk Art -Museum of the Moving Image -Paley Center for Media (formerly the Museum of Television and Radio) -The Municipal Art Society
