The best deals hotel near New York? I'm planning a trip to New York but all hotels in NYC are quite expensive so I would like to know what options I have to find a nice, with easy access to the City of New York.
I just went in June and my mother and my sister took me ... we decided hotels were all very expensive ... even the wicked! so we did is we went to www.vrbo.com and we watched people rent apartments to tourists .. and we rented one two blocks from the Empire State Building and it was so much fun! It was a funky little apartment ... and we stayed for four days and ended up paying much less than we would for a hotel. I would go with renting an apartment ... cheaper way. and he felt as if you were in new york life ... Rather than visiting .. it was so fun! You feel more in New York if you stay in a rented apartment. check it out for real!

You have a few options to reduce costs. First, there is the Sunday program which stays the City manages, with most major hotels in New York participants. Basically, you get Sunday free. Details here - http://nycvisit.com/sundaystays/
Second, you can specify your budget and get a list of hotels on this basis. http://www.uptake.com/hotels/new_york_ny ...
Finally, you should take a look at it another way. Find out which hotels offer free breakfast (many of them do), or better yet, get a good bed and breakfast that offers the use of a kitchen and free breakfast. If you can reduce the cost of food, even by 40% or more, you save a heck of a lot.
FYI, the hotel rooms offer below $ 150 will be a landfill, with the exception of a few places that offer cheap accommodation and decent, like the Pod Hotel and Travel Inn.
