Dose anyone has the MSR DragonFly? I'm thinking of thinking of purchesing this product, I would like to know your opinion about this range and how it compares to the WhisperLite msr. thank you
I sort of agree with Brian, but not totally. His description of what can Whisperlite and Dragonfly are satisfactory, even if adjustments on Whisperlite are not quite as all-or-nothing like he described. But more to the point, you can pack Whisperlite more versatile and easier (you do not want complications in the wood stove) and just adjust the cooking by moving the pot off the flame and / or adjust the cover and / or quantity of oil or butter in the pot, there are so many variables in the kitchen. If I'm carrying one, it would be the Whisperjet. But anyway, you're fine. Good walk.
MSR Dragonfly has a wider stance and more stable than the pot support any other MSR stoves on the market, including all WhisperLite. Other stoves can be very good if you cook for 1 or 2, but if you're cooking for 8 people, definitely go to the dragonfly. Flag
It is a thin pan, as are all MSR stoves. But have you considered making your own can of Pepsi or cat food can stove? It's simple and fun, and it all ultralighters use. I Whisperlite, but have not used once since I made a pan of beer cans.

I have both the MSR Whisperlite International (a different jets to run on any fuel type) and the dragonfly. The Whisperlite became my "loan" of spare or stove. I'll take if there is a large group of us, and we want something just to heat water with, or if we all eat freeze-dried meals. The Whisperlite did a great job with boiling water. It is also lighter, more compact and easier to maintain and clean. The dragonfly is the choice for cooking the meal well done. Is the ability to simmer is what distinguishes him. With Whisperlite you basically two options: Off or torch, while the flame control Dragonfly gives much better. I like both, but if I'm carrying it'll be a dragonfly.
I recommend a Giga SnowPeak a MSR Dragonfly. The dragonfly was a point past.
