MoskvaHow it is safe for an American tourist in Moscow?

Im going in 2010. Im planning to take the overnight train from Kiev to Moscow with my little cousin, ill be 18, it goes 14.

My father told me I had a great chance to fly to Moscow, because im an American. I know a little Russian, but I have no real mastery of the language.

Do I review my plans or appointments?

DO NOT BE AMERICAN LOUD. be as reserved as Russian. I spent several days in Moscow over the past 18 years. Nights I walked to the shops to scrounge for food, slept in the station vokzal Kazansky, riding the subway route loop for an hour or two to stay warm and pass the time until the city Opens in 9 hours. many students are still in the subway at night, late at night. the whole town, not going in the wrong place (the search itself, i do not know) and always keep your wits about. keep money in a zippered pocket as subways crowded holiday MIGHT be the hideout of a pickpocket. do not freak out from the crowd of people shoulder to shoulder to get into the 100-meter long stairs into the subway.
I never felt unsafe in Moscow, on the contrary. I have stayed in hotels that allow foreign bad-in 1994, meant that the Georgians, azerbaidjanees, Tajiks, etc. at very low prices. I kept my mouth shut most of the time, usually called Czechoslovakia in case of request. I let my wife do not speak Russian all the time, but it still shows that you are not Russian. you must be really ok. I guess you are a traveler and this is not your first flight pampering in the suburbs. enjoy the scenery and life in russia!

Hahaaa, why? It could happen 20 years ago but not now. The funniest thing I've heard, lol.

LOL
Where your father learned this valuable information?
It was in Russia in 1920 year?

To be perfectly honest, you'll be safer in Moscow and Kiev that you are in any American city !!!!!
Like any reasonable and you will be allowed

Your chances of pick-pockets are slightly increased because you are a foreigner, but Moscow is much safer than most capitals.

As a precaution, keep your wallet / passport zippered inside pocket of your jacket.

You'll be fine.
