Details on the Missouri practice law and hide alcohol please. I keep a loaded pistol in my car console (which is legal here). I have a few beers with dinner and get arrested and failed a sobriety test. What is the relationship (if any) is there between the loaded pistol and alcohol in the eyes of the law? Does it aggravate the DUI? No relationship? Does it also say a gun charge?
If you have a permit to carry concealed it does not matter if you're drunk. If you shot someone while drunk it would matter a little more.
I'm not sure what the law on the subject is, but I do not know if the officer wants to put to you, they do pretty much what they want. I know I've been in bars in the city and see people I know are cops unload many beers and I'm sure they drive home ... and you have a couple with dinner and worry not only DUI, but another charge, so if the officer feels fine vertical "threatend" by you. we need more regulations that effing police abuse is any act and act together high and mighty at the same time!
If you honestly believe that's a good idea to drink and drive and also a loaded gun handy, then you should get your head examined. It's just this type reckless behavior that feeds the gun grabbers. It's good to love weapons and fine to drink alcohol but not at the same time please.
