Mijas VillasMijas in Spain; comment?

Looking for Villas in Mijas Holiday; not sure area or location. Anyone been recently and there have been useful constructive comments. Thank you

I lived in Mijas Costa for the last sixteen years .... It is ideal ... Very welcoming to foreigners from all countries and races ... Beautiful beaches, friendly people. Lots of variety. Many restaurants, cafes, pubs, bars, etc. Many stores and thousands of people who just speak English, for those who do not speak Spanish!
And above all, climate is the best in Europe.
(If you are looking for a property is a good time to buy ... things have stagnated in recent months due to the global crisis, which reduced the prices a little).
:-)

I do not live far from Mijas. It is a charming village on the side of a coastal mountain. It is easy to drive, but parking can sometimes be very difficult. It is a tourist attraction and becomes very congested. If you rent a villa, he will be out of town. Be careful not to be confused with Mijas Mijas Costa. Mijas Costa is a section of the coast from Fuengirola to Calahonda. I used to live there and love the area.

Mijas Pueblo

By Dee McMath

One of the jewels of the Costa del Sol is the pretty village of Mijas, which nestles comfortably in the mountain 428 meters above sea level, is an ideal choice for either holiday or full time living. Population 7500, there are so many foreigners and English speaking residents in and around the pueblo that the mayor has a very good Foreign Department, which responds to many needs of those who do not speak Spanish.

When you walk through the cobbled streets of this Andalucian village, you can understand what has attracted foreigners to settle here over the years. Many artists and writers have made their home, enjoying the benefits of an excellent climate all year round, without being part of the busier, more commercial coastal towns to 7 miles to the mountainside. Despite his immense popularity with tourists, Mijas Pueblo has managed to retain much of its traditional Andalucian way of life, the locals displaying their boundless passion for anything festive and a "maaħana" unique relaxed outlook on everything may be put off another day.

The craft shops have a beautiful hand made pottery and often affordable paintings and prints by famous local artists such as Don Clarke and Michele Lehmann. A holiday memory may be a good investment.

Mijas is a zone, it begins just outside of Marbella and goes to Los Boliches on the coast covering the main towns of Mijas is a lovely village with a beach just crackin and the main town of Fuengirola, and again with a good beach, then you can go inside with the main town being Mijas Pueblo which is about 10 miles inland, but you see the Spanish city itself although it is very touristy

hilly, picturesque, beautiful, and they made a beautiful chapel in the rock. but the road there is scary .. big drops, narrow, the oncoming truck at full speed. but its worth it: 0)

Mijas is a beautiful village in the mountains just north of Spanish Fuingarola do not think i spelled that right
