Johannesburg is an African city of note. Johannesburg is characterized by the apparent contradiction and a perfect combination of irreconcilable differences. The largest city in South Africa, Johannesburg is also the wealthiest and, without doubt, the economic engine of Africa.
It is a booming city and passes the focus is on money - whether in business or in the streets - and has been since its beginnings when the world's richest fields of gold were discovered at Johannesburg in the 1880s.
