Can anyone help me on the navigation channel route planning UK? The passage of the Hardwicke Gloucester Sharpness Canal by Anderton on the Trent & Mersey Canal in Cheshire. What would be the way and say to 5 hours of cruising per day, how long do you think it might take?
If your boat is wider than seven feet narrow boat, then I am afraid that this is impossible, as many travel takes place on "narrow" channel.
The following site should help, it was the first I came across. If I find a better I will "edit"

To give you an idea of how long it would take you would need a map (maps) channels, you'll start using.Find mileage (Hardwicke) at the end (Anderton Lift), then add 1 mile each lock. Divide the total by the average speed (4m.ph) and this will give you the number of hours required for the journey.
6:00 eglength Channel 18 000 6 number of locks, time (18 +6 = 24 divided by 4 = 6).
Hope this helps!
PS After my own experiences and my family on the canals, I think you may find it difficult to cruise for only five hours a day. we have repeatedly held up the night cruise, and sometimes beyond. (Yes, I know you're not supposed to :-))
* Edit * been very busy but had time to look at: -

Need alternate route channel, it will answer all your questions and is very acurate, providing navigation information, supplies, etc. You can set your speed, etc. hours a day

and it's free!
I used it for the entire network.
For your trip, he said:
The total distance is 134 miles, ½ flg and 76 locks. There are at least four movable bridges, 19 small aqueducts or under bridges and 3 tunnels.
Consisting of 84 miles, 6 ¾ stages of narrow channels, 3 miles, 1 Furlong wide channels, 4 miles, 1 Furlong commercial waterways, 41 miles, 7 ¾ stages of major rivers, 70 narrow locks, 6 large locks.
It will take 61 hours, 2 minutes, which is 12 days, 1 hour and 2 minutes to 5 hours per day.
But I recommend you go to the site itself, as it provides many useful information on the road
