Can anyone recommend a European ski resort? Preferably not in France? My family and I own a chalet in Meribel, 3 Vally, France, but want to go skiing Somewere else for a change. We would like a place with a ski area which is quite important in a ski area and door to door. The price must be reasonable enough. A ski resort in Eastern Europe would be favorable as it follows the above criteria. Not in France please that we went there too.
I often go to Andorra (in the Pyrenees mountains and the borders of France and Spain) to snowboard. There are many resorts to choose from. It's a free country from tax if the purchase is too great and the accommodation is not expensive at all.
What Portes du Soleil, which covers 14 areas in France and Switzerland? There is a wide variety of trails for all levels, and thousands of accommodation for all price ranges. Morgins and Champedry offer a good choice of accommodation for families, and there are several companies that offer services nanny if necessary. You can buy lift tickets covering the whole area, which is interconnected with over 200 lifts and covers over 650 km of tracks. Last year, an adult pass 6 days was 263 Swiss francs.
