What is the best way to send unaccompanied luggage to Canada from Korea? I am Canadian living in Korea and want to send most of my house unaccompanied baggage, because I want to do some hiking before returning. What is the best (or least) to send home my luggage? I'll have two large suitcases each weighing about 40-50lbs. Also, is there anything more I need to know if I'd like to send my laptop too?
You may want to consider his expedition with UPS, Fed-Ex or another company overall package. UPS and Fed-Ex ship luggage all the time for people who do not want to deal with the hassle of checking bags.
If you send your laptop, make sure it is wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a box w / packing peanuts. You will also need to ensure the box incase of loss or damage.
It really depends on your needs, what backpack do you intend to do, if you plan a few weeks then your cheapest option would probably be sent by surface navigation (ie the transportation on a cargo ship) air cargo is much faster but the cost is much higher.
