Hiking vs. baggage? What are the advantages / disadvantages of wearing a backpack with you when you travel with luggage vs. locking (which has a long handle and wheels for maximum traction) you can leave in your hotel room while traveling around foreign cities?
And would you wear your backpack with you everywhere you go?
Instructions:
Advantages, robust, may have a capacity of more than a backpack, locked (in the absence of lockers are available) can be chained or locked to a fixed object.
Cons: not as convenient when traveling from city to city and country to country, can be stolen not guaranteed.
Backpack:
Pro, versatile, flexible, mobile
Cons: not locked, need to find a locker for valuables, and less capacity limited
