Brecon Beacons National Park Wales has three of the UK National Parks, the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Snowdonia National Park each with its own characteristics and distinctiveness.
The national park was created in 1957, the last of the three Welsh parks. It is Hay-on-Wye, east of Llandeilo in the west. There is the Black Mountain (east of the park, on the border with England) and the Black Mountain (west), just confusing. The area west of the Brecon Beacons range is known as the Fforest Fawr (Great Forest), 2005 Brecon Beacons National Park became part of a prestigious global network of Geoparks and received recognition by UNESCO to become the first Geopark in Wales and the first national park in the entire United Kingdom to be designated.
The tags themselves take their name because they were used for signal beacons. Dotted around the Brecon Beacons are small towns and villages that offer a wide range of holiday accommodation. There are many excellent pubs and restaurants serving a wide variety of foods, using proceeds from beautiful facility. The center for exploring the Brecon Beacons of Brecon is situated on the River Usk, it has a rich history with a fortified cathedral with a Norman font.
Popular activities in the park are walking, if you're feeling energetic then why not to drool the 100-mile route, called the Beacons Way. The walk takes you to the Carmarthen Fans, tags and Central Pen-y-Fan, and the gentle slopes of the picturesque Black Mountain.
The Taff Trail is a multi-use for cyclists and walkers and passes through the valleys of South Wales and the Brecon Beacons. Those who love cycling can go mountain biking many centers called centers, each of which are graded to help you choose the right path for you.
Horse lovers will enjoy the spectacular scenery and rich wildlife, it is truly one of the best riding in Europe and there are many stables in the region that offer hacks short and long term.
Opportunities exist for navigation in highly spectacular Pontsticill Llangorse Lake and reservoir. Boat rental facilities are available at Llangorse Lake. It is also the ideal fishing nations, with the right sport for fly fishermen and general secondary. The Wye and Usk rivers provide top salmon and trout fishing once everything is available on Llangorse Lake, many reservoirs and the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal.
Other popular activities include caving. There are many outdoor centers that offer caving courses suitable for beginners and more experienced caver. Whatever you decide there are so many things to do and see that you never get bored, then visit the Brecon Beacons it is closer than you think. You can reach the park one hour from Cardiff and less than three hours from Birmingham and London.
