Last Minute Hotel Deals Myrtle Beach

I'm planning a trip to Myrtle Beach last minute leaving tomorrow and I found a hotel that I wanted to stay. Could / should I get a better rate if I just arrived, or should I go ahead and make reservations? I read some comments from some hotels and I saw some comments saying: "We used their march in the rate and has much", etc. I know I would run the risk of not finding a vacancy, but could I get a better rate?
