Adventure holiday on the Dalmatian coast The easiest and probably the most pleasant to enjoy the beauty of the Adriatic Sea is to charter a boat for a cruise along the Dalmatian coast. The boat lets you explore the islands and places such as villages and coves that are inaccessible if you use any other means of transportation. It was probably the best family vacation we've ever had.
Our adventure began in Dubrovnik - Split we sailed from there. We concentrated on the southern Dalmatian because there are many stunning islands and the water is clear. We spent many islands such as Mljet, Vis, Lopud, Korcula, Brac and Hvar - it's just a game, taking account of the 1100 islands located on the Croatian coast. We stopped in a beautiful fishing village. We swam and relaxed - it was as amazing as the seafood we ate there.
As we reached the island of Mljet, we began our journey Highlands National Park there. We took the bikes and cycled around Veliko Jezero - it is a saltwater lake with the famous 12th century monastery located in the middle of the lake.
When we arrived in Korcula was early morning and we had the best opportunity to take a picture because the sun shines was amazing and the whole view was awesome. The old town is quite amazing, because he walked in you feel that you live in medieval times through the architecture and the Cathedral of St. Mark was built in the 13th century.
Our next destination was a small fishing village called Komiza. It is located on the island of Vis and we managed to arrive the same evening. As we anchored there, we realized the beauty of the village itself. The main reason was the castle on the top of the hill was beautiful, reflecting the moonlight. The next day we went to the island Bisevo for an excursion with a small boat. The water was so clear that you can get a detailed view of the bottom without any problems.
The next place to visit, was Starigrad, known as the Pharos in the past. The city is known for its vineyards and when you go there you should definitely sample the local wine - it is something that should not be missed. Our last stop was the island of Brac, we anchored in the harbor Supertar - it is a charming little village. It was the perfect finish for our sailing trip.
Go to Croatia for this sailing adventure allowed us to discover many new places that are so amazing that you can not even imagine. Croatia is a paradise for boating and probably the best vacation destination for families.
