Good / Italy travel budget? Can anyone suggest where I can find online a good / budget holiday packages to Italy. I try to go with my girlfriend in the course of September and I would like airfare, hotel, local transport and supported. Or at least hotel and airfare. However, I do not want to tours or group of things. I want to do things by ourselves. Want to visit three different cities within 10-14 days, for example, Florence, Rome, Venice. Most of the things I found online include guided tours or group. Also, if your suggesting based on personal experience, the details of your trip would be good. Thank you.
Try Untours (www.untours.com)! They are perfect for independent travelers who want just the basics. They set you up with airfare and then give you a pass by rail or car rentals, and apartment. You really get to know an area and to live as a "untourist."
I look at the brochure now and they have listed the following regions in Italy: Sicily, southern Tuscany, northern Tuscany, Umbria, Rome and Venice. You can use them to see the area where you are, and as a base for sightseeing "off the beaten path."
Here also said that there is something called La Notte Bianca in Rome in September where museums, shops and restaurants stay open all night! And what is called Regata Storica in Venice with processions sensational waterways.
I get jealous think I'll go too! Bon voyage!
And whatever you do, do not miss the gelato to die for !!!!!!!!!!
Dear passengers,

Well a lot of it depends where you are from your trip from which I do not know.
CIT Tours has been around for a while and has offices in most countries. They can arrange your entire trip or just a portion thereof, and are familiar with the country where this is all they do: http://www.cittours-canada.com/
Locate the local website ILC if it is not your country.
To plan your best bet is to look at the Italian National Tourist site - full info: http://www.tourismrankings.com/Italy/
Finally, much of your money will be spent on accommodation. This tool allows you to sort by location, rating and price. Dive into the offers and you will probably find extras that will save you money. Always find a hotel centrally located to save time is precious .... time is precious on vacation:
I have a little travel blog that can help you. Use the search Kayak on the right side of the blog. You will find the cheapest airline ticket from there.
Take a look at the "Great Hotels" post for info hotel. It should help. Italy is awesome and in September the weather should be fantastic! Enjoy!
Oh, and book as soon as possible because prices will generally increase the closer you get to the departure date. (All figures in week)
