Hotels In Orlando Florida

Could you recommend a good hotel or vacation rental near the Disney area and convention center in Orlando? Also, we do not drive, so we prefer to be in a place where we can find restaurants and shops within walking distance. Please suggest a safe, open place that we travel with our 3 ears old. Thank you

Unfortunately, since you do not drive it will be difficult to find a hotel that offers shuttles to two places. You can choose a hotel in Kissimmee who provide free transportation to Disney, but you need to take a taxi to the congress center. Or you can stay on International Drive you can then take the trolley or bus iride for the convention center, but must take a taxi to Disney. I'll give you some sites to check prices for the taxi service at these locations. If you choose to stay in Kissimmee, I would recommend the hotel Seralago is right next to the old town. There are restaurants on the street and a Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut within walking distance. If you stay on International Drive, you'll be able to take the trolley iride up and down International Drive, which has additional activities discount stores, and restaurants along the road. We stayed at the Homewood Suites on Garden Avenue is one block off International Drive and within walking distance of Wet N Wild. We have enjoyed staying at both hotels. With a child, I highly recommend the Nickelodeon Resort Hotel. This hotel caters to children and on International Drive is within walking distance of many activities and restaurants.
