Are there hotels in France that accept the Franks? I will be traveling to France soon and was given 10,000 francs. I would stay in a luxury hotel that accepts francs, but I need help finding some.
The French franc is not a legal tender and no hotel accepts payment in French francs.
The only way now to change the Franks (if they are in French) in euros is to go to the Bank of France and change them there, you have until February 17, 2012 to do so. Unless you have your coins or banquenotes are 100 FF Delacroix, who are now denied.
The only way you will be able to use French francs is to be taken to a French bank, providing money is in the notes. The exchange rate is 1 Euro = 6.55957FF. You have until February 17th, 2012. If the Franks are the coins, sorry, too late you missed the deadline.
The short answer is no. French francs are not to be legal tender. And I'm not even sure of the Bank of France will be able to change them for you ... You might be better off trying to sell individual tickets for collectors.
Is it French francs?
Some countries still use the Franks. But they are not the same as French francs. For example, Swiss franc, or CFA (from certain African countries)
Who gave you 10,000 francs?
