Hiking Tents

I'm new to hiking and need help finding a good quality tent.

Being new to hiking you do not want to spend lots of money. Eureka Coleman and two tents are cheap reasonable quality. Always check the weight before you buy! I saw a tent advertised as an ultra-lightweight 2 man tents with three touring season and the thing weighed eight pounds, is about twice more than most two-man tents weigh.

I do not wear a tent, except during the mosquito season. A waterproof nylon tarp and my hiking poles are a very nice shelter the rest of the year when I need it. In good weather, I just sleep on a floor mat and watch the stars. That's all the weight on the recording when you can.

I made a leap here and guess that maybe you need a tent for 2 people. But it would be feasible for a person tent.
