What are the regulations concerning the taking of electronics in hand luggage on a plane? I wanted to take a digital camera, MP3 player, cell phone, a Nintendo DS and a battery charger (recharge AA batteries). But these things are allowed to be taken on board an aircraft in hand luggage?
Hello,
I travel a lot around the world and that's what my hand luggage consists of: -
1 laptop with charger and accessories such as portable hard drive
A canon rebel digital camera with batteries in the unit
4 AA rechargeable batteries with charger
1 PSP
I also carry 2 phones on me which one is an iphone.
I've never been arrested at an airport. I traveled through the following airports in the past year.
Amsterdam, Paris, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Cebu, Manila, Newark (EWR), Costa Rica, Houston, Westpalm Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Barcelona, La Coruna and all major airports in India.
I am scheduled to travel to Mauritius and Johannesburg and intend to use the same proceeding.
simply remove your laptop from the bag and nothing else for security check. In India, you can take your camera at times.
Sincerely,

Check with the FAA for the latest rules. It tells you exactly what you can bring further and checked baggage.

Yes. All you have to do is get out of your hand luggage during security checks, period. You must have scanned separately from the rest of your bag.
Yup all those that can be put in hand luggage, but you can not use the mobile phone. I do not know how you can use the charger in a plane. The rest I'm sure you can use. I always bring them when I travel. Try visiting socialtravellersite (dotcom) if you want more travel tips. I just found this site and I read from him since.
