Gramercy Park Hotel

Has anyone stayed at the Waldorf Astoria or Gramercy Park? I'm going to New York later this year with my husband and two children. Which hotel has a better location for shopping and is closer to Times Square? thank you very much

Whoa, if you can afford the Waldorf Astoria, so it's a total no-brainer, that's where you want to stay, case closed!

It is without doubt the best hotel in all of New York City! This is where the kings and queens and presidents stay when they are in town! In fact, wait a minute, I just noticed that this question was originally asked on Yahoo Answers UK, so ... Are you the Queen Elizabeth? Come on, that's OK, you can tell us, we will not tell anyone. It is you, is not it? I Knew it! ;-)

Seriously, I mean, the Gramercy Park Hotel is OK, of course, but the Waldorf ... Well, let's just say you have all of us to meet here regularly goes, "Wow!"

Wow, you must be very rich! I would go to the Waldorf. I went inside the lobby once and it was fine, and continently located.

Well, the Waldorf will be better because it is at the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

Waldorf .... I was in the lobby and it is absolutely beautiful and it's in Midtown, Manhattan

I stayed at the Waldorf. It is very expensive and overrated.

Although the lobby is absolutely gorgeous, can not be said for the rooms. It has by far the smallest hotel room I've ever seen. The room dedcor is best described as "grandmother of society." And the bathroom is poor.

The Waldorf is in Midtown shops nearby on Fifth Avenue. Gramercy Park is a short distance from all shops and Times Square.

I was able to stay in a few hotels in Manhattan. I looked into staying at the downtown Millennium Hilton. It's almost next to Century 21, the mecca of downtown famous shopping. And it is easy subway ride from Midtown shopping and Times Square. The hotel was by far the best hotel I could to stay in the city.
