Fundle

FundleFundle height 33 to 29 weeks check up .. What is the accuracy of ultrasound for fetal weight and growth?

ok ... fundle my size is usually a week later, but this time he was 4 weeks away ... the midwife said in my 34 weeks scan to check on my placenta, it will also demand they check the size of the baby and we hope to obtain an estimate of birth weight ... wrap the baby is too big! How accurate are these ultrasounds .. I'd like to hear how people have heavy babies were compared to what they were estimated by ultrasound!

I think they are pretty accurate, mine felt my baby at least 10 pounds, and it was 10-10 when he was born!

God thank you, I had a c-section planned - the head measured 15.5 inches, and 40 weeks since I had not dilated, a fall or deleted at all! It would have been an ugly mess if I waited to be induced at 42 weeks! I could have a baby of 12 pounds!

at the beginning of this pregnancy, I weighed 160 ... then at 28 weeks I weighed 184 .. I go to the dr on Thursday to find out how much I earned for the week 30

fundel my waist to my last visit in the first place was 30, which would put my two weeks in advance, but then it remesured and said he was 29

But the day of my ultrasound result is 1 / 6
but I know when I ovulated, so my personal deadline is January 15

which, if the DRS by my personality due date instead of LMP and then I'd be able ltrasound about 2-3 weeks to come ....
meaning should be I think 28 weeks but measuring [LMP and u / s] closer to 30 weeks

sorry if this is confusing, but my cycle has never been 28 days and my dr insisted on measuring me by my LMP even though I told him I know when I ovulated

Hello!
For me it was the opposite, I is 4 weeks late (when I delivered at 40 weeks I was only 36 weeks) and they were afraid she was going to be little going to the hospital 2 times a week so they can check the heart and placenta, then to an u / s they said it weighed about 7 pounds and was born 7 pounds 1 ounce, so it was accurate in me. But I talked to women where it was and what they felt

They are not very accurate at all. Ultrasound terrified me to have a "big baby", they estimated about 10 pounds and my stomach was bigger than average so far. My daughter was born just 7.4 pounds.
Do not insist on the baby being "too big" its very rare that a baby is too big for the pelvis to deliver naturally.

Congratualtions and good luck

They were a bit out of me. My dr does not want me to have a baby more than 7 pounds since I was little. My daughter was born via c / s 8lbs5oz. Her measurements for the members and was also somewhat off. His head measured tall, his small legs. (You can imagine what I thought it might look like lol) In fact, it has sort of a smaller head and long enough legs.

I had a untrasound to 37 weeks to see the size and they told me it was over 7 pounds at the visit. She was born at 41 weeks and was only 6 pounds 9 oz, so I'd say they are not very accurate.

CONCLUSION: Ultrasound estimation of fetal weight offers no advantage over clinical assessment of a patient or weight of the fetus to term. Estimates Senior Resident Clinical and ultrasound are superior to junior resident estimates. Parity did not affect the accuracy of patients in the estimation of fetal weight.

The accuracy of ultrasound for detecting macrosomia seems to run generally from 50% to 65% or more accurately to be very low.
