Can you bring knitting needles on flights to China? I will fly to China soon and will also take two flights within China. I know that knitting needles are allowed on U.S. flights, but what about flying to China?
I'm not only on China but I have just returned from a trip to Asia. I saw a lady knitting all flights (more than 15 hours) so that the permit. I flew United, if that matters.
Not sure about China, but I had more chance to travel with wooden needles, compared with metal needles. To be sure, I'd take along a needle and thread the hook just in case you must leave your hands at the airport. This way, you can save your project until you can buy a new set of needles once you reach your destination.
The best thing to do is contact the airline you will be in China. They are without doubt, but they may need to be wooden needles, not the metal or plastic. Call or search online to find out. Good luck.
not because they are afraid that you knit an Afghan. ha ha ha.
